A new patient will receive a complete eye exam, which usually requires that your eyes be dilated. The drops used will impair your near vision or reading vision and increase your sensitivity to light. The dilation does not usually hamper driving, however some people prefer to have someone drive them home. If needed, we do provide you with a pair of disposable sunglasses. Additionally, we will evaluate you current glasses, therefore, we ask that you bring them with you to the examination.
Depending on the findings of your exam, other tests may be necessary either for diagnosis or future reference. Dr. Jones or his assistant will be happy to discuss the need for the test with you should you have any questions. Call us at
