We welcome you and your special pets to University Animal Clinic.
UAC was purchased by Dr. Robert Rill from Dr. Mary Smart in 1993. The original facility (8236 Lockwood Ridge Rd) was located by the Wal-Mart Shopping center at Lockwood Ridge Road and University Parkway. Our second and current facility was opened in January of 2003. Dr. Robert Rill and his wife Sandy are still the current owners of UAC.
Our pledge to you is to provide your pet with the same concern and tenderness that we give our own. We understand your constant concern for your pets well-being and we will strive to keep close communication concerning your pet`s progress during any necessary surgery, hospitalization or illness.
The University Animal Clinic supports many local organizations. We work with both Sarasota and Manatee Humane Societies to offer cooperative programs. In addition, the clinic works with Manatee and Sarasota Animal Controls.  University Animal Clinic also participates with South Eastern Guide Dogs, Inc., including their beneficial programs for the seeing impaired. We also participate with the Racing Dog Rescue Project (retired greyhound adoptions).
We will provide the highest standard of client services and medical excellence possible to all our clients and pets. We will set the standard for patient care about all other ground. Caring for our clients and their pets is our primary goal for the staff of University Animal Clinic.
