About LASIK
A future without glasses or contact lenses can be yours. Yes, it`s true! Imagine enjoying such activities as golfing, swimming, diving, running, a day at the beach or on the boat with clear, natural vision. You will notice the difference in everyday activities such as looking at the alarm clock, enjoying a refreshing shower, driving the car, and observing the beauty of nature. The time is right to consider laser vision correction.
Your results are highly dependent on your surgeon`s skill and expertise. Dr. Peter Shriver is Board Certified and has advanced Fellowship training in refractive and corneal surgery. This full year of additional training specifically in corneal refractive surgery sets Dr. Shriver apart from other ophthalmologists.
Dr. Shriver has significant experience with RK (Radial Keratotomoy) and PRK (Photo-Refractive Keratotomoy) as well as intra-ocular contact lenses (used to treat high levels of myopia and hyperopia not correctable with LASIK) and intra-corneal disc for presbyopia (need for reading glasses). However, in 1992, Dr. Shriver realized LASIK was truly the future of refractive surgery.
