From the first telescopic magnifiers in the 1600`s optics has improved to todays magnifiers that allow comfortable vision, high magnification and crisp images. This now allows a person with low vision to have their vision improved by at least 2 times and often 3 to 4 times over what it is now!
Dr. Huggett is a board-certified optometric physician specializing in low vision. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa in 1981 and doctor of Optometry from the University of Houston, Texas in 1990. While there he received training at the Lighthouse for the Blind (now known as The Lighthouse of Houston) in low vision and low vision rehabilitation. While attending the University of Houston he taught Optics, 1987-1989. Dr. Huggett completed an externship at the Bay Pines VA Medcial Center, St. Petersburg, Florida in 1989. Call us at
