The Frank Rey Dance Studio Is an educational institution whose purpose is to discipline the student`s body and to stimulate and develop artistic growth.
All our classes are taught by fully qualified instructors, who have earned national board certification.
To enhance the dance education of our students, nationally recognized guest teachers are brought in throughout the year. In addition, opportunities to participate in cultural field trips are often provided.
The high standards of our school and the dedication of the instructional staff have afforded our students the opportunity of being accepted into major dance and theater companies as well as having been awarded scholarships to American Ballet Center, Ballet West, Southwest Ballet Center and the International Dance Centre.
Classes are offered for both adults and children in ballet, jazz, tap, acrobatics, Spanish and Hip-Hop. Sometimes classes of a more specialized nature such as modern, theatre dance and ethnic departure are offered by student request.
Students are encouraged to study more than one form of dance. Experience has proven that students taking two or more forms of dance progress at a much greater speed and have a longer interest period. Because of this, the tuition is considerably less for those taking two or more classes per week.
Pre-school students may enroll in pre-dance class especially for them. Students in intermediate ballet classes must take a minimum of two ballet classes per week. Students must be at least ten years of age before going on pointe. They must qualify physically and technically and must have studied ballet a minimum of two years or its equivalent.
Students are accepted on trial basis for the first month of training. If, in the opinion of our faculty, the student will not be sufficiently helped by our training, a recommendation will be made.
At the end of each year, students are invited to participate in the annual concert. This provides the student the opportunity to demonstrate their accomplishments for the year.
