Kids Art Classes:
Abstract Acrylic Painting - This class explores the use of color in painting, with monochromatic designs, positive and negative images, complementary colors, and harmonious compositions.
Sumi-e Painting - We will explore Asian painting, learning to use the oriental brush. Bamboo, orchids, birds and fish will all be the subjects we will work on.
Bits and Pieces Mosaic Camp - Mosaics is an ancient art with a modern twist, using Tesserae, which is broken pottery, china, tiles, mirror, marbles and other recyclable objects.
Drawing Camp - This class will cover all the basics of drawing, including creating volume through shading and highlighting, applying texture, using proportion, as well as strategies for improving composition and natural perspective.
3-D Creations - This class will introduce you to the joys of two nonfiring clays, Sculpey and Model Magic. Participants will create finger or stick puppets, refrigerator magnets, animal sculptures, and fun jewelry.
All About Animals - This class focuses on animals in art, using a variety of media, including pencil, pen, paint, and nonfiring clays. Students will draw, color and form animals.
Collage Techniques - Try various techniques to create collages using words, images, found objects, fabrics and papers. Create artwork that is funny, symbolic, meaningful, textural and exciting, using these different materials.

Finger Knitting And Crocheting - Learn the fascinating finger knitting method of knitting without needles. Also learn how to make fabulous crochet handbags, bowls or scarves using a variety of yarns and fabrics.
Jewelry Design - Learn the techniques of creating one-of-a-kind neckrings and unique jewelry using wire. You are encouraged to look in your jewelry box for your beaded jewelry, gemstones and pins that need a facelift or repair and bring the jewels to class to learn how to redesign, repair and make into a pendant.
