Desktop Publishing Graphics Web Applications Whatever your computer training needs are – personal or professional, individual or group, beginner or advanced – USF PWD can provide the resources to help you keep up with the fast-moving tech world. We offer computer applications training including introductory Windows classes, Microsoft Office applications, and business applications including Crystal Reports, QuickBooks, and AutoCAD. For those interested in Desktop Publishing/Graphics/Web, we offer three certificate programs: Desktop Publishing, Multimedia/Graphics, and Web Building and Marketing. These certificate programs include courses in popular applications for page layout, graphics and illustration, multimedia, web page creation, and other related subjects by such manufacturers as Adobe, Macromedia, Microsoft, and Quark. Classes can be taken individually or as part of the certificate program. Desktop Publishing/ Multimedia & Graphics/Web Hands-on learning in the most widely used web and graphic applications Experienced instructors Excellent curriculum and materials Introductory through advanced levels Learn how to plan, design, and produce professional brochures, manuals, ads, and other publications. We teach the skills needed to use the latest computer graphics and layout applications. Gain the business and technical knowledge needed to create, develop, and maintain basic to intermediate web sites. Courses may be taken individually or as part of our Desktop Publishing, Multimedia & Graphics, or Web Building and Marketing certificate programs. Desktop Publishing Certificate This program provides comprehensive training in the planning, design and production of professional brochures, manuals, advertisements and other publications. To earn the certificate, you must take all seven core courses and two electives of your choice within a two-year period. Courses are taken individually. Non-certificate students may enroll in individual courses. Multimedia and Graphics Certificate This program provides a solid skills base in graphics and multimedia. Explore multimedia concepts and create unique graphics and animations for your web pages. To earn the certificate, you must take all five core courses below and two elective series of your choice, for a total of 9 courses. Non-certificate students may enroll in individual courses. Web Building and Marketing Certificate Designed especially for nontechnical professionals, this program introduces you to the fundamentals of building effective web sites, as well as diverse Internet career opportunities. You’ll learn the business and technical knowledge needed to create, develop, and maintain basic to intermediate web sites. You’ll also discover what it takes to produce and sustain an Internet presence. To earn the Web Building and Marketing Certificate, you must take all six core courses and three electives of your choice within a two-year period. Non-certificate students may enroll in individual courses.
