The Tutor Advantage
The Tutor Advantage...
...is an Academic Consulting and Tutoring Service located in Melbourne Florida. Your personal tutors and academic consultants are Dorothy Noonan and Mary Prince. We are experienced professional tutors and teachers with complimentary talents and preferences. We offer a variety of educational services to our clients, including academic coaching, language therapy.
Language Lessons
Individual language and ESL therapy for delayed speech and remedial reading. Program strengthens and improves: phonemic awareness, speech and articulation, comprehension, and language skills. All ages - $35 per hour (my location) or $40 (your location).
Placement will be made during initial session free of charge - or prior to registration for $50 (with credited given toward initial sessions). Learning program is adjusted as needed. Built-in assessment means student`s needs are continually met.
Test Preparation
Individual Tutoring to help students prepare for:
SAT, ACT, FCAT, General test-taking skills
Our Spelling and Vocabulary programs are the best preparation for College Board Exams, but we also assist with essay development for the new SAT, test taking strategies, and understanding the mathematics too.
Accelerated Academics An early start program for your 3 - 5 year old child Small group classes of 45
minutes each, meeting twice a week per subject. First Grade Advantage for students currently in kindergarten: $50/week
Our prices vary by service. A base of $30.00 per hour for individual sessions at my location is the starting point. I am available to meet at your home or your choice of location for $35.00 per hour within a 10 mile radius. Small group classes are also available at a reduced rate.
